Among several consultations, I have been involved in the development of the post-soviet blockhousing area in Tomaszów Mazowiecki.

It was one of the most valuable and challenging experiences in the work of a researcher and landscape architect. There was a very limited budget and a very large, complex area to be covered. One of the concerns was also to get to know with inhabitants and get their trust since the place seemed to be forgotten and barely developed. Lack of playgrounds, benches and poor quality greenery was one of many issues!

We proposed a systematic approach consisting of buffer green areas, a central park (around the culture house), new playgrounds and alleys with benches. Informally created gardens (often happening in those areas in Poland) were appreciated and considered in the development plan.
